In Wilmington, family-run Italian places are busiest on weekend evenings and around holidays, when reservations or call-ahead seating are worth it. BYOB is common at smaller restaurants in some states, with a modest corkage fee or none at all; the listing or a quick call will tell you. Wing-and-pizza shops across North Carolina do most of their business by delivery and price wings by the piece or in fixed counts, with sauce heat adjustable on request. Catering trays, party pizzas and sheet pies need a day's notice at most places, and more around big game days.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 4:30β9 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (910) 679-8989. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, fortunawilmington.com.

We ate at Fortuna Cucina Italiana last week and were excited to try their newest location after enjoying several of the other restaurants from the same restaurant group. Overall, we had a great meal and will definitely be back. We dined with friends, which let us try a variety of dishes. The meatballs were the standout appetizerβabsolutely deliciousβand the stuffed peppers with sausage and cheese (a special) were incredible. The burrata and panzanella were good, though the burrata felt like it was missing something and the panzanella croutons were a bit oily. The sweet corn ravioli with crab was the clear winner of the night and one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. We also loved the Bucatini Fra Diavoloβthe lobster was perfectly cooked, and the Calabrian chili tomato sauce was flavorful without being overwhelming. The Flounder Francese was also excellent. The summer squash and grilled broccolini were both great additions and helped balance out all the pasta. Our server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was busy, so service took a little longer than usual, but it was understandable. The indoor dining room was very lively and fairly loud, so we were happy to

We had a wonderful dinner last night at Fortuna Cucina Italiana. Our cocktails were nicely prepared. All service staff that we encountered were very friendly and attentive. HIGHLY recommend the Caesar salad. It was fresh, crisp and the dressing was fantastic! I had the charred octopus which was very tasty. The focaccia bread was a perfect carrier for all of the sauce left behind. The sweet corn and crab ravioli was one of the stars of the evening. Absolutely perfect! Looking forward to our next dinner here!

Ate here with my cousin when I was down there for a class. The food was exceptional! The only complaint I have, and even this isnβt a complaint, I wish the steak was seasoned a little better. Either way, excellent dinner overall!

Beautiful new scratch kitchen, Italian restaurant. Serving homemade pasta and incredible starters. Highly recommend the crustini, ceasar, fusilli, brick chicken, and large porter steak (very limited quantity sold per day). Unfortunately, did not take pictures of all dishes or of the restaurant. They are getting extremely popular so highly recommend a reservation and eating as early as possible. Expect long wait times and understandably slower service otherwise as they are very busy. The crustini and fusilli were our favorites of what we tried on the menu. Music was lovely, fun decor, clean and thoughtful restrooms. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great gluten free options available. Iβm gluten sensitive and the gf pasta had a great texture and flavor. While we didnβt get any desserts, cocktails, wine, or mocktails we heard great reviews and recommendations of them. Parking is free but a small lot so may need to park across street in abject plaza and walk over. Overall rating 4.7, docked for a couple dishes we found slightly unbalanced in flavor and slower service but we did fine at peak time on a weekend. Besides that our server, Judy, was incredibly kind. The managers were quick

Upmarket Italian food in the old Blue Surf space. Beautifully decorated inside/outside bar and seating. The Caesar salad was a bit salty but the burrratta and prosciutto appetizer was excellent. The pastas were al dente but note that the portions are smaller than the usual Italian restaurant. The steak was the perfect temperature. The tiramisu was a stand out. Great service and well staffed. Recommended.
